TV Mounting in Brooklyn, Flat Rate, Any Wall

Brooklyn is where we got our start, and it’s still where we do a huge share of our work. From the brownstones of Park Slope to the converted warehouses of Bushwick, we’ve mounted TVs on every wall type Brooklyn throws at us — plaster, brick, concrete, and everything in between. One flat rate, no surprises, fully insured.

Brooklyn Walls Aren’t Like Anywhere Else

Most of Brooklyn’s housing stock was built between 1880 and 1940, which means we regularly work in buildings that predate drywall entirely. Older brownstones and pre-war co-ops typically have one of two wall situations: plaster over wood lath, or exposed brick. Both require a different approach than standard drywall — and both are something we handle every day.

Plaster walls are the norm in Park Slope brownstones, Bed-Stuy row houses, and most pre-war co-ops across Brooklyn. They look identical to drywall but behave completely differently. Stud finders often misread them, and a standard installation can crack or crumble the surface if the technique isn’t right. We use the correct anchors and drilling method for plaster so your mount is rock-solid without damaging the wall around it.

Brick walls — common in brownstone living rooms, exposed-brick apartments, and converted warehouse lofts in Bushwick and DUMBO — require masonry anchors and a hammer drill. We come equipped for brick installs on every job. Whether you’re mounting a TV into a brick accent wall or installing a window A/C unit into a brick exterior wall, we have the tools and experience to do it cleanly and securely.

A/C installations in brownstones deserve a specific callout: older buildings often have plaster or brick surrounding window openings, and a through-wall A/C install requires anchoring into that masonry correctly. We handle both window unit installations and through-wall installs, including the bracket work needed for brick or plaster surrounds.

If you’re in a newer building in Williamsburg, Greenpoint, or DUMBO — drywall or concrete is more common, and we handle those just as easily.

We work in co-ops and rental buildings. We carry a Certificate of Insurance (COI) and can name your building’s management company as an additional insured — something most buildings in Brooklyn require before any contractor can work. Just let us know the building name when you book.

What We Check Before We Drill — Every Time

Brooklyn’s pre-war brownstones and tenement buildings can have interior partition walls that are significantly thinner than modern construction — especially in buildings that have been subdivided over decades. We check for this before we drill. In brownstones, you can also hit brick backing behind plaster at party walls and fireplace surrounds — sometimes where you wouldn’t expect it. Thin or mixed-composition walls need specific anchor types and placement strategy to hold securely without going through to the other side.

Building management and co-op requirements don’t slow us down. From converted Park Slope brownstones with a co-op board to managed buildings in DUMBO that need a COI turned around the same day, we know the process. Doormen, super sign-offs, service elevator scheduling, no-damage policies — we handle it. The logistics of working in a Brooklyn co-op or managed building don’t become your problem to sort out.

We map before we drill. Before anything goes into the wall, we work out exactly where the mount, cables, and any wall penetrations will go. We check for pipes, electrical, and structural quirks specific to the building type — pre-war brownstones especially can have plumbing and conduit in places that don’t follow a predictable pattern. No guessing, no surprises after the fact.

Common Questions from Brooklyn Customers

Do you work in co-ops? Yes. We work in co-ops regularly throughout Brooklyn. We carry full liability insurance and can provide a COI naming your building or management company as an additional insured. Most co-op boards and building managers accept our documentation same-day.

My walls are plaster — can you still mount my TV? Absolutely. Plaster walls are the norm in pre-war Brooklyn brownstones and co-ops. We use techniques and anchors specifically designed for plaster — your mount ends up just as secure as it would be in drywall, without cracking the surrounding surface.

Can you mount into brick? Yes. Exposed brick walls and brick exteriors require masonry anchors and a hammer drill, which we bring to every job. We do brick TV mounts in loft apartments and brownstone living rooms regularly. For A/C installations into brick exterior walls, we handle the full bracket setup and anchoring — the brick doesn’t slow us down.

Can you mount a TV above a fireplace? Yes, though we always advise customers on the ergonomics first. Mounting above a fireplace puts the screen higher than the ideal viewing angle and can cause neck strain over time. If you still want to go above the fireplace, we’ll do it right — including cable routing down the wall or through the mantle.

Do you patch the wall if I change my mind later? We don’t offer patching as a standalone service, but our installs are clean and precise — the holes left by our mounts are minimal and standard for any handyman to patch.

How long does a TV mounting appointment take? Most single-TV installations take 45–75 minutes. Gallery walls and multi-TV setups take longer — we’ll give you an estimate when you book.

What TV sizes do you work with? Any size from 32″ up to 85″+. We work with all major brands and mount types.
