TV Mounting Cost in NYC

TV mounting in NYC is not a one-price service. The cost depends on what type of wall you have, what kind of mount you need, whether cord concealment is involved, and how many TVs you are mounting. Here is a straight breakdown of what PPM charges and what drives those numbers.

Standard TV Mounting

Single TV mounting starts at $200. This covers mount installation on a standard drywall wall, TV attachment, and basic height placement. Most straightforward drywall or plaster installs fall in this range.

If you have a specific mount already, we use it. If you need a mount supplied, we can provide one and discuss options before the job.

Specialty Wall Types

Concrete and brick walls require a hammer drill and masonry anchors. The drilling takes longer and the hardware is different. These jobs run higher due to the additional time and materials involved.

Metal stud drywall requires toggle bolt anchors rated for hollow metal studs. The mount process itself is similar to standard drywall, but cord concealment options are limited (in-wall routing is not permitted through metal studs).

General mounting work that runs by time is priced at $110 per hour. This applies to custom installs, complex multi-device setups, or any job that does not fit a standard per-TV price.

Cord Concealment

Cord concealment is available as an add-on to any mounting job or as a standalone service. Options include:

In-wall cord routing: Cables run inside the wall with two wall plates, one behind the TV and one at the outlet level. This is the cleanest result and adds to the job cost based on scope.

Cable raceways: Surface-mounted paintable channels that conceal cords along the wall. This is the right solution for metal stud walls, brick or concrete, and rental units where in-wall work is not permitted.

Multiple TVs

Booking multiple TVs in the same appointment is more efficient than separate visits. Pricing for multi-TV jobs is discussed when you book — the second and third TVs typically come in below the standard single-TV rate when done in the same visit.

Specialty Situations

Samsung Frame TV: Requires a no-gap mount and One Connect cable management. These jobs are priced per the installation complexity, not a flat premium.

Above-fireplace mounting: Usually involves a tilting mount and cord management around a brick or stone surround. Priced based on scope.

No hidden fees. The price you are quoted is what you pay. If something comes up that changes the scope once we are on site — a wall type that is different from expected, additional cable routing — we talk through it before doing the work.
