TV Mounting in DUMBO and Brooklyn Heights, Flat Rate, Any Wall
DUMBO and Brooklyn Heights are two of the most distinctive neighborhoods we serve — and two of the most technically interesting from a wall-type perspective. DUMBO’s converted industrial lofts have brick and concrete construction; Brooklyn Heights’ landmarked brownstones and pre-war co-ops have plaster. We work in both regularly. One flat rate, no surprises, fully insured.
DUMBO and Brooklyn Heights Buildings: Lofts, Brownstones, and Everything Between
DUMBO’s residential buildings are almost exclusively converted industrial and warehouse structures — former factory lofts and warehouse floors turned into large, open apartments. These buildings have thick brick exterior walls, concrete ceilings and floors, and interior walls that vary from original brick to added drywall partition systems. If you’re in a DUMBO loft, you’re almost certainly dealing with masonry of some kind.
Brick walls — exposed and interior — are the defining wall type in DUMBO. Installing into brick requires masonry anchors and a hammer drill, both of which we bring to every job. We do brick installs in DUMBO lofts regularly, and we know how to drill cleanly into brick without cracking or spalling the face of the brick around the hole.
Concrete is also common in DUMBO’s loft buildings — concrete columns, concrete ceilings, and occasionally concrete partition walls. We carry the right equipment for all of it.
Brooklyn Heights is a different world entirely — one of New York’s best-preserved historic neighborhoods, with blocks of 19th-century brownstones and pre-war co-ops. The wall type here is plaster, almost universally. Brooklyn Heights co-ops are among the most rigorous in the borough when it comes to contractor documentation. We carry a Certificate of Insurance and can name your building or co-op board as an additional insured, typically ready the same day.
What We Check Before We Drill — Every Time
In DUMBO lofts, the structural column layout and the mix of original and added walls means we never assume what we’re drilling into. We confirm wall type, identify the best anchor placement, and check for utilities before any drilling. In Brooklyn Heights brownstones, we check for the plumbing and electrical patterns that are common in 19th-century construction — they don’t follow modern predictable layouts.
Both neighborhoods have managed buildings with building access requirements. DUMBO has several large converted buildings with building managers and COI requirements. Brooklyn Heights co-ops are among the most formal in the borough. We handle both without putting the coordination burden on you.

Common Questions from DUMBO and Brooklyn Heights Customers
My DUMBO loft has exposed brick walls. Can you mount into those? Yes. Brick mounting is one of our most common request types in DUMBO. We come equipped with a hammer drill and masonry anchors on every job. We know how to drill brick cleanly and anchor it properly.
I’m in a Brooklyn Heights co-op with a strict board. Do you handle the COI? Yes. We carry full liability insurance and provide COI documentation naming your co-op board or building management as an additional insured. We’re familiar with the documentation requirements of Brooklyn Heights co-ops.
My walls are plaster in a Brooklyn Heights brownstone. Is that a problem? Not at all — plaster is the standard in Brooklyn Heights and we work in it constantly. Your mount will be secure without any damage to the wall surface.
Can you mount a TV in a large open loft space? Yes. Loft-scale installations are something we do often in DUMBO — including large TVs, custom positioning, and longer cable runs in open-plan spaces.
