TV Mounting Harlem NYC | Picture Perfect Mounting
TV Mounting in Harlem, Flat Rate, Any Wall
Harlem is one of our most active service areas in upper Manhattan. The neighborhood’s pre-war townhouses, classic apartment buildings, and newer construction all require different approaches — and we’ve worked in all of them throughout Central Harlem, East Harlem, and Spanish Harlem. One flat rate, no surprises, fully insured.
Harlem Buildings: Pre-War Townhouses and Classic Apartment Stock
Harlem’s residential buildings span more than a century of construction. The brownstones and limestone townhouses of Central Harlem and Hamilton Heights — built between 1880 and 1920 — have plaster walls, and many of them have undergone decades of subdivisions and renovations that can make wall composition unpredictable. The classic elevator apartment buildings that line 125th Street and the avenues are also pre-war, with plaster walls as standard. Newer construction in East Harlem and along the 125th Street corridor uses modern drywall systems.
Plaster walls are the dominant wall type in Harlem’s older housing stock — brownstones, townhouses, and pre-war apartments throughout Central Harlem, Morningside Heights, and Hamilton Heights. Plaster looks like drywall but requires different technique and anchors. We handle plaster every day and know exactly what it needs for a secure, clean installation.
Drywall is common in Harlem’s newer construction, including buildings along the newer development corridors in East Harlem and in gut-renovated units throughout the neighborhood. Standard drywall installation is our most frequent work type — we bring all anchor options and match the hardware to the actual wall.
If your building requires a Certificate of Insurance, we carry one. Larger managed buildings in Harlem — including the newer rental towers on 125th Street and managed co-ops throughout the neighborhood — require contractor documentation before any work can begin. We have the paperwork ready and can name your building as an additional insured.
What We Check Before We Drill — Every Time
In Harlem’s pre-war brownstones and townhouses, walls that have been subdivided, renovated, or patched over the decades can have inconsistent stud spacing and mixed wall materials. We probe and check before drilling anything. In older plaster buildings, we also watch for electrical that doesn’t follow a predictable modern layout — common in buildings built before electrical codes were standardized.
We handle building access requirements — doormen, service elevators, super sign-offs — as a routine part of the job. If your building has a process, we know how to work within it.
