Gold Screen Panel Over the Dresser

A wide gold screen panel centered over a mid-century dresser. Wide, shallow pieces like this are heavier than they look and want to tip forward or drift off level if they are hung from a single point.

We centered the panel on the dresser rather than the wall, since that is what the eye reads, found the studs, and hung it on two-point hardware so it stays flat against the wall and level for years. The gap between the top of the dresser and the bottom of the panel was set so the two read as one arrangement.

If you have a large decorative piece that has been waiting for the right hardware, this is the job.
