Bar Gallery Wall

A dense, colorful gallery wall and hanging textiles wrapping the corner above a bar banquette. Dozens of pieces of different sizes, weights and materials, including woven pieces that hang from rods rather than frames.

The layout was built up from the corner outward so the two walls meet cleanly, with the largest pieces placed first and the smaller ones filling around them. Every item went on hardware chosen for its own weight and mounting type, and everything was secured for a room where people are up against the walls all night.

Maximalist walls like this are some of our favorite work: the more pieces, the more the planning matters.
